Dr. Friedmeyer (or “Dr. Bob” as his patients call him) is a Board Certified Pediatrician specializing in health and wellness of children from birth to age 25. He was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. After completing high school, Dr. Friedmeyer served in the United States Air Force for six years, prior to returning to Indiana and completing medical school at Indiana University, where he graduated in the top tier of his class.
Dr. Friedmeyer completed his residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in 1984 . Since then, Dr. Friedmeyer has owned his own practices in Peru, Indiana; Tifton, Georgia and Brandon, Florida. Dr. Friedmeyer has also had experience training Pediatric Residents at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He has served on Child Abuse Investigation Teams in Georgia, in addition to being involved in both Georgia and Florida Disaster Medical Teams (DMAT). He was the Chief Medical Office for FL-3 DMAT during Hurricane Katrina where he provided assistance with his team in the New Orleans Area.
Dr. Friedmeyer is the father of three children. His son, Joe, recently passed away after serving in the United States Air Force. His daughter, Beth, is married and living in Indiana. He presently lives with his wife, Kim, and his youngest daughter, Sara, in Oldsmar, Florida. His hobbies include: reading, gardening, camping and canoeing.
