 Kids and More Pediatrics is a small, kid-friendly office. You are welcome to bring siblings to your child’s appointment, however, if you want multiple children to be seen, the office staff should be alerted to this prior to your appointment or upon arrival, so that each child’s file may be readily available for the pediatrician.
For new patients, we encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete the necessary family and patient history and information sheets. You can minimize the amount of time this will take by downloading and completing the New Patient Packet of information prior to your appointment. You must have your insurance card and valid ID at the time of your visit.
For established patients, we encourage you to arrive on time. We value your time. We do not double book in order to see all patients in a timely manner. For us to continue this practice, it is important for you to be on time so that the next patient is not kept in the waiting room longer than necessary. Should you be late for an appointment, please call ahead to advise us. We will make every effort to see you that day, but you may have to wait to be seen or be rescheduled if it is a non-sick visit.
Newborns and patients with suspected infectious diseases will be taken to a room possibly ahead of others in order to decrease exposure to those in the waiting room.
If you are a parent-to-be or are searching for a pediatrician, we welcome you to schedule a time to meet Dr. Bob to discuss your joint philosophy on health and well-being to see if we are a match. There is no charge for these appointments. We welcome the opportunity to become your pediatric healthcare provider.
Kids and More Pediatrics is open for business Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The office is closed for lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Later appointments can be arranged by request. Dr. Bob has an on-call answering service 24/7, that is accessed when calls are made to the office (813) 654-1220 after hours. Parents should feel free to call with questions or concerns about their child’s health. However, if it is an emergency situation, 911 should be your first call. If your child is admitted into the hospital due to an emergency, please notify Dr. Friedmeyer. If you have called the answering service and have not received a call back within 10 minutes, please call the service again to ensure your call has been routed properly. Kids and More Pediatrics partners with After Hours Pediatrics to provide medical care evenings, weekends and holidays. If you feel your child needs to be seen after hours, we encourage you to go to the After Hours Pediatrics facility closest to your home. They will provide us with a summary of your child’s visit which will allow us to provide good continuity of care.
Dr. Friedmeyer is affiliated with Brandon Regional Hospital and utilizes the Pediatric Hospitalist for in-patient services other than newborns. To have Dr. Friedmeyer see your newborn in the hospital, you must pre-register or name him as your child’s pediatrician at the time of your admission for delivery. If your baby is delivered in another hospital, plan on seeing Dr. Friedmeyer within two days of your newborn’s discharge.
